Like once before we are a small family owned and operated business again.
In a world where everything has become a sprint, where time has become a storm in which most are lost, work, food, love and life has lost its deeper meaning and is rushed. We as a family have made a conscious decision to break away from this rushed lifestyle, break free from the impurities and slow down, take a breath, enjoy nature, love deep and enjoy life, like our ancestors once did.
We like to work hard, we love to build and make things ourselves. A few years back we build a business from scratch just the two of us (van Heerden leather ;) but now we have grown in richess worth more than anything the world has to offer - we are 3 members larger, eager to learn and do and be part of what we create and build.
Passionate about clean living and purity we are so excited about this new chapter and the adventures that awaits for MEAT.
We came across PEMMICAN while researching 'everything' always looking for cleaner options and ways to make things ourselves as natural as possible and we just had to try it and see why it's a food that started a war.
From the first bite we new this is something we want to pursue in a business venture, quickly realising people don't know about this super food and with a big shift among people moving toward more natural almost ancestral ways of eating it's sad that pemmican became a food that time forgot!
So it's our mission to bring this food back to life, our vision to build and provide a 'fast food' (we don't use the word fast often ;) that is highly nutritious, sustainable and shelf stable.
Health is not valued until sickness comes. Good health is the best wealth!
